Start your day with a short briefing

Turn your task list into a plan you can actually finish.

You ask Claude to plan your day because everything feels urgent.

Start with today’s facts

A daily briefing is a short update that helps you choose what to do. Ask Claude to read your current ScoutTracker tasks and recent changes. An old chat may not reflect what is true today.

Tell Claude how much time you have. Add any fixed plans, such as a client call or school pickup. If Claude cannot read your calendar, share the details yourself. Do not assume it can see them.

Ask it to point out tasks that are late, due today, waiting on a reply, or stuck. Then choose a few priorities. Your full task list is not the same as today’s plan.

Do this now

Ask Claude to read your current tasks and recent changes. Tell it how much time you have today and your fixed plans. Check its list against your dashboard.

Pick a clear first step

“Work on the launch” is hard to start. “Review the launch email for 20 minutes” is clearer. Ask Claude to suggest one small first step for each priority.

Leave room for surprises. If you have two hours, do not accept a plan with six hours of work. Ask what can wait and what needs your attention first. You make the final choice.

Claude should suggest changes, not quietly move your deadlines. Ask it to show you any proposed edits. If a tool does not work or a fact is missing, the briefing should say so. A shorter, honest plan is better than a polished guess.

Do this now

Choose up to three priorities from your briefing. Ask for a small first step for each. Remove or shorten anything that will not fit your available time, then start the first step.

Ask Claude

Read ScoutTracker and recent task changes. Tell me what is late, due today, waiting on a reply, or blocked. I have [time available] and these fixed plans: [plans]. Suggest three priorities with a small first step for each. Ask before you change any dates.

The takeaway

A useful briefing makes your day clearer, not busier.
