Stay in touch with Claude

Claude does not watch your tasks in the background. Learn when to check in and what to ask for.

You expect Claude to notice things on its own, but your last chat ended yesterday.

Claude waits for you to check in

Connecting ScoutTracker does not put Claude on watch duty. It does not read your dashboard overnight or send you an alert when something changes. Claude helps when you open a chat and ask.

That is why checking in matters. At the start of a work session, ask Claude to read your recent task changes. Then it can advise you based on what is true now, not on an old conversation.

You do not need a long meeting. One short question is enough. Think of Claude as a helper who is always on call but never interrupts you.

Do this now

Open a chat now. Ask Claude to read your recent ScoutTracker changes and tell you what has changed since your last chat.

When the line goes quiet

A connection can go quiet. Claude may show “needs reconnect,” or a tool may fail. That is normal, and it is easy to fix: follow the link Claude gives you, sign in, and choose Approve again.

Claude can sound sure even when a save failed. “Done” in the chat is not proof. The proof is the change on your dashboard.

After Claude saves or updates anything, look at your dashboard. Check the title, the note, and the status. If something looks wrong, tell Claude what you see so it can fix it.

Do this now

In that same chat, ask Claude to change one task's status. Check your dashboard before you move on. If nothing changed, reconnect and try again.

Ask Claude

Read my recent ScoutTracker changes before you advise me. Tell me what changed since we last talked. If a tool fails or asks you to reconnect, say exactly what happened instead of guessing. Then change the status of [task] and tell me whether the change saved, so I can check my dashboard.

The takeaway

Claude is on call, not on watch. Check in often, and trust your dashboard.
